The
Netherlands takes a prominent
position internationally in
the field of design. The very
heart of Amsterdam contains
- among other things –
a branch of the internationally
famous Droog Design. A shop
is located right next to the
Red Light District – a
gallery for design, furniture,
and wood decoration. Along the
canals you’ll find contemporary
Furniture and accessories of
Dutch and international designers
and art academies. The atmospheric
district of the ‘Jordaan’
houses a new, creative catch-all
building where the design studio
of the initiator Marcel Wanders
takes pride of place.
Your knowledgeable ARTTRA guide
will take you on a tour of discovery
along various shops and galleries.
You will then take a water-taxi
to the Eastern Harbour areas.
If you wish we may provide a
fresh sushi lunchbox prepared
by a sushi chef. You will see
inspiring architecture of international
fame on the KNSM/Java islands.
You will also visit the interior
of a beautifully decorated private
house. We end the tour with
drinks in a hotel – renovated
and decorated by designers and
artists such as MVRDV, Piet
Hein Eek, Ineke Hans, and Joep
van Lieshout.
Prices depending
on your wishes and the number
