ARTTRA offers various cultural day programs on different
themes. From the Golden Age to contemporary architecture.
Tailored to the interests of your guests, guided by experienced
art historians in any language desired. They are socially
very capable, they will tailor their information to your
group, and they will do their utmost to give you and your
guests a good time.
Clearly, ARTTRA ensures that all practical issues are
perfectly taken care of.
Many
trends in interior decorating
can be traced back to old traditions.
We are made aware of this when
we experience the ambience of
the 18th and 19th style living
rooms in old canal houses. The
mostly formally designed gardens
of the period have inspired
many modern landscape architects.
A department store will be visited
in order to see how Dutch interior
art has developed. Lunch will
be served in the Rietveld-designed
cupola from where we have a
splendid view. We will visit
several important interior decorators
with studios along the canals
to have a look at new designs.
There will be a reception at
a private house on the waterfront
and dinner can either be taken
at a stylish Art Deco establishment
or at a modern style trendy
restaurant
extra:
a visit to the Rijksmuseum to
see two unique dolls' houses
decorated entirely according
to 17th and 18th century fashions.
