Utrecht: the nobleman's countrylife

       
       

At first you will visit Zuylen Castle situated amidst canals, boulevards and gardens. In the former domicile of the author Belle van Zuylen you will be able to admire furniture, tapestry, portraits and glassware.
After lunch in a former patrician's mansion on the river Vecht you will go for a boat trip on the Vecht along various castles and mansions.
In the surroundings of Loosdrecht a castle with a beautiful art collection is awaiting us. After tea at the teahouse a walk through the castle gardens, the orchard, the Lime-tree Avenue and the woods. Quite near the castle there's an attractive historical restaurant where we may have dinner.
