ARTTRA offers interesting workshops as a teambuilding
activity. But also for people who would like to do something
with a group of art lovers! Such as really digging into
a museum collection or painting in a real studio: thanks
to our longstanding experience we offer each and every
group the appropriate approach!
Obviously, our guides are dedicated specialists, also
available for foreign guests. All this might be combined
with drinks, lunch, dinner or a walking or boat tour.
You
may be aware that coffee originated
around Ethiopia and
Yemen. But did you
know that the worldwide advance
of coffee started with a single
plant in Amsterdam? Taken by
the VOC (Dutch East India Company)
during the Golden Century and
cultivated in the Hortus Botanicus?
After a canal tour Golden Age
and Dutch Indies Company you
will hear the entire fascinating
story during a coffee
roasting workshop in
the Hortus, where a passionate
coffee roaster will also show
you images of the coffee plants’
natural environment. He will
use a special coffee box to
demonstrate the roasting and
grinding of various types of
coffee beans. As well as enjoying
the lovely aromas which will
be released, you will, of course,
also be given the opportunity
to drink and taste
a variety of different types
of coffee!
This will be followed by a guided
tour around the magnificent
greenhouses, where you can admire
the real coffee plant. To complete
a fantastic program in this
extraordinary oasis within the
town, we will also arrange an
aperitif or dinner in the Orangerie.
Prices depending on
your wishes and the number of
participants.
